The death toll in South Africa increased by 8 to 131, said Dr. Zweli Mkhize in a statement on Sunday evening. Two deaths were in the Western Cape, four in the Eastern Cape and two from Gauteng.
The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in SA has also increased by 447 to 6,783.
The Western Cape still has the most confirmed cases of Covid-19 with 3 044, followed by Gauteng (1 624), KwaZulu-Natal (1 076), the Eastern Cape (774), Free State (122), Mpumalanga (46 ), Limpopo (37), North West (36) and Northern Cape (24).
