Cigarette sales are prohibited, so you can’t buy them the Police Minister said in a briefing to the media.

You cannot buy something that is forbidden. I saw the many analyzes after I last answered the question the minister said.

What I said is that the police have the right to see the receipt from where you bought the cigarettes.

Bheki Cele

It will help us to see who sells it. If you smoke at home, we have no problems with that.

But be prepared to tell the police where you bought it. If you do not, we will take action against both the buyer and the seller.

Police Minister Cele says alcohol will be sold Monday to Thursday between 9 am and 5 pm. Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and on public holidays alcohol will not be sold. It won’t even be sold by e-commerce stores on those days.

Alcohol cannot be transported on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Those who order it online will not be able to do so outside of the four days allowed.

People should not be tempted to sell it outside of the hours allowed. No drinks will be sold after 5 p.m the minister said.
