Wreckage of a money wagon lay late on Friday afternoon on a street in Vaalpark, Sasolburg. Robbers struck and blew the wagon and robbed an unknown amount of money.

One said that the high unemployment rate in the country contributes to this type of robbery. “The people are hungry and looking for work,” one tweeted.
The transit robbery took place on Minnaar Street in Vaalpark in Sasolburg.
Netcare 911 spokeswoman Shawn Herbst said one security guard, who was not seriously injured, was taken to a hospital with one of their ambulances.
