A warrant was issued for the arrest of Julius Malema after he failed to appear in a court in East London on Monday.
Shortly after news broke of the arrest warrant, Malema shared a video on Twitter titled ” Cooking goat in the village”

The warrant will remain until his next court date because it has been arranged in advance that he will be absent.
The EFF leader is charged after an incident on July 28, 2018 where he fired a firearm during the EFF’s fifth anniversary.
Malema also Retweeted a Tweet from SABC. In the Tweet, the NPA explains that the warrant of arrest was only a standard procedure.
