Another employee of the eNCA news channel died of Covid-19.

Graphic designer Michael Wilson died on Monday after being tested positive for the coronavirus last Thursday. He worked for eNCA in Johannesburg.

“Michael was hospitalized with Covid-19 symptoms last Tuesday. He was tested and it was confirmed on Thursday that he has the virus, ”a news group statement said.

Wilson was part of the eNCA group for 14 years.

Jody Jacobs, operations manager, expressed his condolences to Wilson’s family.

“Michael has been part of our team since 2006. He was dedicated to his work and did it enthusiastically. His presence in the news office will certainly be missed, especially his dry sense of humor. We are thinking about his family during this difficult time, ”the statement reads.

eNCA confirmed that those who may have been in contact with Wilson were informed of the situation.

“Everyone who had contact with him was advised to stay home and have them tested,” the statement reads.

Wilson’s death comes after cameraman Lungile Tom also died in hospital on May 12 at Covid-19.
