Jakes van der Merwe, 53, a Cape Town attorney, has allegedly been shot on Wednesday morning while sitting in his vehicle in Constantia Street, Higgovale.
According to the information available, two shots were fired at him and one of the bullets hit him in the neck. He was taken to a local hospital, but later transferred to another hospital.
Colleagues at the firm where he works declined to comment Wednesday on the incident or his condition.
His attacker apparently ran away in a silver Hyundai Hi combi with cloned registration numbers.
