Gauteng MEC for Community Safety, Faith Maibuko, has now confirmed that the woman caught in a video verbally abusing Siphosethu Ngomane by using the k-word has been arrested.
In the video, you can see an altercation erupt after a vehicle accident where Maibuko was “rear-ended”.
The dispute quickly escalated and the angry woman chose to use the racist and derogatory K-word.
Shortly after Ngomane reported the incident to the Police and a case was opened, she also went to Twitter and received a response from Faith Maibuko, Gauteng MEC, who was happy to investigate further.
Today, Ngomane and Maibuko published on Twitter announcing that woman has been arrested and is due to attend court tomorrow.
This just in dear friends!! This lady has been arrested and will be going to court tomorrow! I would first like to thank @FaithMazibukoSA and her team for standing behind me during this time and also thank @SAPoliceService For working around the clock on this case. https://t.co/L8To35w6gQ

Swift investigative work by law enforcement
Faith Mazibuko acted to support the victim of abuse and Police responded swiftly and informed Mazibuko that the woman in question has now been arrested.
“Indeed Florida Police reported that she was arrested today & charged with Crimean Injuria & Malicious Damage to Property. All the appreciation should go to the Officers at Florida Police Station. They may not have responded when expected, but they were working on the case.” said Mazibuko
