Kamvelihle Goba was implicated in a recent video that was spread on social media. In the video, you can see Goba and his friend shouting racist remarks to an Afrikaans male.
The incident occurred at a filling station in Port Elizabeth.
In the video, you can hear the one man threatening to wait outside and say, “We’re going to bring the whole township that your ancestors subjected us to.”
Goba went to his Twitter page in anger after they were charged with resisting arrest and crimen injuria.
Goba posted the following on his Twitter page:
It was around 06:00 in the morning last December of 2019. We had just come back from dancing the previous night going to the beach but stopped at the garage for food. A group of white lads only for them to call us monkeys and what are we doing at Summerstrand. We chased them.— Kamvelihle Goba (@KamvelihleGoba) January 3, 2020
The remaining three in which one was taking the video were the ones who remained submissive, quiet as opposed to the group outside which left in their bakkies. We got food, and proceeded to go swim in Summerstrand, our beach. It was at Caltex garage just before Boardwalk.— Kamvelihle Goba (@KamvelihleGoba) January 3, 2020
Racism in South Afrika keeps you explaining & explaining. Even at my graduation ceremony it was as if it was an attention seeking stance. That Alex Broadbent ended up being fired by UJ. Whites are being whites, it is us blacks who do not want to be black. Until one of us dies…— Kamvelihle Goba (@KamvelihleGoba) January 3, 2020
As per usual, white people went and reported us to the police, the police believed their side of the story; long story short…on the 5th of February New Law Court, PE we are appearing for resisting arrest and crimen injuria. Response to racism is said to be racist than racism.— Kamvelihle Goba (@KamvelihleGoba) January 3, 2020
Newslite SA earlier reported that 3 were arrested after a racial incident.
