Police are on the trail of a 27-year-old murder suspect who did not turn up for his court appearance last Wednesday at Lephalale Regional Court in Limpopo. Earlier, R1 000 bail was granted to Tshepo Justice Rasodi. However, when he failed to show up for his trial. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
Rasodi was initially arrested for the murder of Hendrick Peter Peterson, 57, on February 6, 2017, at his farm Fourieskloof outside Lephalale (Ellisras). The suspect and three accomplices were arrested by the police after an intensive investigation.
According to police spokesman Moatshe Ngoepe, the suspects hit Peterson with a heavy object and then proceeded to flee the scene in Peterson’s White Isuzu pickup truck.
Peterson was later pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
Police are calling on people with information that could lead to the arrest of Rasodi, to notify AO Oosthuizen on 082 783 5623, Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.
