Ernst Roets and his team will meet with members of the US Senate, the House of Representatives and the Department of Foreign Affairs in America this week.
On the agenda is the land issue in South Africa, where the ANC wants to review legislation to expropriate land without compensation.
However, the law states participating countries must protect property rights and that the US president may otherwise suspend an Agoa agreement, Rapport reported Sunday.
Roets has already given several interviews during his first week in America. He was interviewed Tucker Carlson Tonight, who has more than two million viewers, on Fox News. The interview will be broadcast later this week.
He also had interviews on i24News and The Daily Caller, which will also be broadcast this week.
The South African government claims that land expropriations from white farmers will be non-violent and that the move has nothing to do with race – both claims are demonstrably false, @ErnstRoets tells @MichelleMakori: pic.twitter.com/0wnHtPmKB1— i24NEWS English (@i24NEWS_EN) February 22, 2020
Roets and his team will return to South Africa next month.
