A 35-year-old man will appear in court on Monday after he was arrested by Machadodorp police in Mpumalanga this week for rape.
Police spokesman Leonard Hlathi allegedly threatened a 28-year-old woman and her four-year-old daughter with a knife at their home on Thursday, Dec. 26, before raping them.
“The man ran away after the incident. Police and emergency services were called and a woman and her daughter were taken to a neighboring hospital for treatment, ”says Hlathi.
According to him, the neighbors gave a description of the suspect to the investigating team. The man was arrested on Friday. He is apparently out on parole.
“The man is currently in custody and will appear in Belfast Magistrate’s Court on Monday on charges of rape,” says Hlathi.
This comes after Newslite reported earlier of a girl from Isreal was raped in South Africa
