Two possible cases of the coronavirus have been reported in KwaZulu-Natal, but this has not been confirmed by a laboratory, the provincial health department said on Thursday.
News24 reports that one possible case is being treated in a departmental facility and the other person is in a private hospital in Durban, spokeswoman Noluthando Nkosi said.
“The department is closely monitoring the treatment and management of the two patients.”
Nkosi said the public would be informed if there were any developments and warned people to remain calm and not be fooled by false rumors on social media.
A patient was cleared on Wednesday after being held in isolation in Limpopo
There are another 5 suspected cases in Southern Africa between Namibia and Botswana.
