South Africans came together to see fireworks all around the country. This might be one of the last years that fireworks will still be legal around South Africa.
The Tshwane Metro Council has confirmed that people who want to fire fireworks need permits and permission.
In Johannesburg, however, residents do not need to obtain permission from the Metro Council.
The Cape Town Metro Council allowed fireworks at the V&A Waterfront.
