The New South Wales Rural Fire Service (RFS) repeatedly sent the same message to those who are not yet out of the area: “It’s too late to flee. Seek refuge as the flames approach. ”
The Australian Navy rescued tourists and residents of the town of Mallacoota on the coast of Australia Friday after being trapped there by the wildfires that raged there.
About 4,000 people fled to the beach on Monday as fires surrounded the town in the province of Victoria.
12 people have died since the start of the fires in Australia.


Reuters reported: The federal government has relentlessly called on Army reservists to assist firefighters and has deployed a third Army ship for disaster management and humanitarian assistance.
