The coronavirus death toll in China rose on Friday. The number of people who contracted the virus is now over 31,000.
The death toll currently stands at 638, while the people who have contracted the virus are at 31,523 cases worldwide.
The Chinese government also confirmed that the Chinese doctor in Wuhan who warned people about the virus in December died because of the virus.
The new coronavirus, also known as the Wuhan virus, broke out in central China in Wuhan City last December, presumably due to illegal wildlife trade.
The World Health Organization manages the outbreak as a global crisis. This virus has already been reported in more than 20 countries. – Reuters
