The Conservative Party (Tories) won the third general election in Britain by a majority on Friday morning.
The Labor Party’s vote decreased by 8% compared to the 2017 general election. The Conservative Party’s vote increased by 1%.
According to forecasts, Johnson’s party will have secured more than 360 seats by the time the final result is announced.
This puts the UK on track to leave the European Union on 31 January 2020. Johnson’s campaign made one promise to the British: “To get Brexit done”.
Polls had already predicted early in the morning that the party would triumph.
The British pound rose sharply on Thursday morning amid those polls with the pound trading at 1,3513 against the US dollar and 1,2067 against the euro.

BBC reported with more than half the vote counted is the latest prediction that the Tories will get 363 seats in parliament – 45 more than in 2017, Labor 197, Scottish National Party (SNP) 53, Liberal Democrats 13, Plaid Cymru four, the Greens one, and the Brexit party none.
