Eskom said it does not put loadshedding in place on Wednesday, however, there is still a possiblity due to a high number of unplanned breakdowns.
Eskom said it was using emergency generation reserves to replenish the stock.
This comes after Eskom have been in a ‘possible’ state for the past few days, all days suffering from high maintenance work and unplanned breakdowns.
“The network is under pressure, vulnerable and unpredictable and load shedding can be activated at short notice, should the situation change,” the power supply said on Tuesday.
By Tuesday afternoon at 16:25, unplanned maintenance work was at 12 751 MW and planned maintenance work at 4 020 MW.
Eskom once again emphasized that the possibility of load shedding increases while doing critical maintenance work.
