Although Absa’s website works, the login page for accessing internet banking could not be reached. Absa apologized for any inconvenience. Friday is payday for millions of South Africans.
According to Absa, his technical team is trying hard to get online banking functional again.
Clients were also unable to sign up online or on the app to complete banking.
The latest outage in its online services appears to be the last drop in the bucket.
Absa also made a statement on Twitter.
We are aware of the ongoing intermittent issues with our digital channels. Our technicians are working on a fix. We will let you know as soon as that is resolved and we're up and running again. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.— Absa South Africa (@AbsaSouthAfrica) December 20, 2019
