There is a chance that South Africans will go under load shedding again this week says Eskom.
Eskom warned late on Sunday night that the network was still under heavy pressure. “There is a chance for load shedding tomorrow (Monday) and the rest of the week.”
However, Eskom says they will only implement load shedding when really needed.
Eskom blames power plants that have been unplanned for unplanned failure.
They were able to replenish diesel for gas turbines last weekend and there is plenty of water for pump storage schemes.
Eskom says the good news is that unit three was synchronized with the rest of the network at the Kusile power station on Sunday.
It adds an additional 300 MW to the network.
